Le Crunch Poster & Apple Character Competition “Nature's Heroes”
- Pupils artwork can be entered from the pupils' school or home addresses.
- Only a photograph of an apple character can be accepted as an entry – not an actual sculpture.
- Prizes will be given to winning pupils in the following categories;
Category 1 (age 8 and under on January 1st 2011)
Category 2 (age 9-10 on January 1st 2011)
Category 3 (age 11-13 on January 1st 2011). - Group entries are up to and not more than four pupils.
- Name, address, age, School Roll Number and school/other details must be clearly written on the back of the poster/photograph for each entry.
- Artwork must be certified by teacher, parent or guardian to confirm that the poster/character sculpture entered is the pupil’s own work.
- Entries can be submitted on A4 (210mm x 297mm), A3 (297mm x 420mm), A2 (420mm x 594mm), A1 (594mm x 841mm) and A0 (841 mm x 1189mm) sized paper.
- All entries should illustrate the theme 'Nature Heroes’ and may feature Apples or The Le Crunch Bunch in the poster. The words Le Crunch however, must be in the slogan/title of the poster and the character should be given a name.
- The poster can be in any medium suitable for a poster (drawn, painted, felt-tip markers, crayon, pastel, water colours, collage etc). Computer aided design may also be entered.
- The apple characters can be created from any Le Crunch apple (Granny Smith, Golden Delicious, Gala, Braeburn or Red Delicious) and a range of other healthy ingredients to denote arms, legs etc.
- Photographic entries of posters will be considered if the entry is deemed too large or awkward to post (please keep the actual piece safe as if short-listed for final selection, arrangements will be made to collect it).
- Entries cannot be returned.
- All entries are accepted as original works and Real Events and Le Crunch are not responsible for any breach of copyright.
- The decision of the adjudicators is final and no correspondence will be entered into regarding their decision.
- Real Events and Le Crunch cannot accept responsibility for lost, damaged or delayed entries. Proof of posting is not proof of receipt.
- Employees, contractors or persons directly or professionally associated to employees of Real Events or Le Crunch may not enter this competition.
- All entrants agree to be bound by the rules of the competition; failure on the part of any entrant to adhere to any or all of these rules will render the entry in question invalid. Once received, the entries will become the property of Le Crunch and may be reproduced at the discretion of the organisers.
- Prize-winners may be required to participate in publicity.
- The promoters reserve the right to change prize specifications subject to product range and availability at conclusion of this competition. No cash or alternative in whole or part of the prize will be offered.
- Teachers’ Prize for two includes two night’s accommodation in a deluxe room with private ocean view balcony, full Irish buffet breakfasts, dinner on one evening in the Gulfstream Restaurant, two Seawater treatments each in the Island Spa, access to the heated Seawater Therapy Pool, Sauna, Hammam, Gym and Relaxation areas. Prize is valid for 12 months from date of issue excluding the month of August and is subject to availability. All drinks, minibar and meals outside of the evening meal for two and breakfasts are not included. Transfers from/to Inchydoney Island are not included. Any costs incurred outside of the above will not be covered.
- From February 2011, a shortlist of finalists will appear in all Dunnes Stores outlets. Shoppers can vote for their favourite poster using a voting form which will be available in all stores. Votes will be then tallied and the winning posters in each category will be displayed in all Dunnes Stores outlets throughout the Republic and Northern Ireland.
